Here are some of the project's I've been working on, you can see the before during and after pictures. Below is a picture if the car I purchased on Ebay, it has a lot of stuff on it. It was very dirty but with some help from the Simple Green spray it came out clean enough for me to take it apart and really clean it.
I had finished the 3 scorpions I had started some time ago. The bodies will get done on them soon hopefully. I call these 3 my 3 Amigos.
Now to go through my Turbo Scorpion Restore from start to finish with some description. First I start off with the car when I receive it. Look it over not much you can do at this point just hope its not too damaged. Here is picture 1.
Now comes the disassembling which can take more time if the car has not been taken care off. Taking out star (Phillips) screws is a real pain especially if someone used loctite on them. Sometimes a vise grip is all you can use to remove them (watch your fingers).
This car actually was done on a quick schedule so it only took me a couple days, the body alone took me several hours.

Ok so now the car is apart, pull out the rubber gloves and the SOS pads. Scrub for a few ours and.....

Once the car was cleaned I spent another hour putting it back togeather. Replace the rear tires and 1 front tire from dry rot. USed 30% fuel to take the paint off the body which was on in multiple coats. Put the grey Turbo Scorpion wing on from my other grey car which has the metal wing. Added some lights to the top of the role cage. The car is pretty nice now, it's one of the nicest cars I have but them again I love all my Scorpions.
